Wednesday saw our Scouts finish off completing their level 2 in emergency aid. They went through the importance of calling 999 and getting help as well as how to reassure someone at the scene of the emergency.
The Scouts also had good fun turning each other into mummies whilst practicing bandaging. They also learn the importance of how to deal with someone who is unconscious, has a burn and what to do if someone has an Asthma attack.
The Scouts also practiced CPR and what to do if someone is in cardiac arrest. They also did a craft after Kyle and Kieran went to Gilwell Reunion where they came accross the #ForJodie project after an Explorer was murdered in a case of mistaken identity. They created defibs using pizza boxes so if they had to use one in the future they would be more prepared and have the basic knowledge on what to do.
