YouShape Central badge - Using the craft supplies that they’ve been given, each group should create a mood board that represents what the best thing about Scouts is to them. You should give them around 10 minutes or so to complete this.
Once the group have finished, they should add a short description to the piece of work to explain what it is and what different bits mean or represent. Learn about the bees
Gather everyone together in a circle, and explain you’ll be learning about bees and making a bee hotel.
Ask everyone if they know what food bees produce. Hopefully people will say honey – but did they know that bees have a big role in producing a lot of the food we eat? Why are they important for people? What do they do for biodiversity? Think about the variety of plants and animals in a certain space.

Planning the game
Put two signs at either end of the meeting space. One sign should say ‘a good friend’ and the other should say ‘not a good friend’. You could also use smiley and sad face emojis, or different colours.
Play a game
Gather everyone together in a circle.
Ask everyone what it means to be a good friend. They may have ideas like sharing, helping people who are struggling, and being kind and helpful.

Some of the best builders are animals, who create their own places to live. Work as a team to build a big den that you can all sit in and do an activity.
You could use natural materials to make a den outside or build one indoors using chairs and blankets.

The person leading the activity should give everyone a couple of pieces of scrap paper and a few short pieces of sticky tape.

This will involve the group running various bases and stalls to help raise awareness of the group and raise funds to help towards buying the land.
